Concours de Pêche 1937
A whole village, on foot or by bicycle, came to form a line along the Canal du Midi on the occasion of this great fishing competition in 1937, to participate, attend or just hang out. Young or old, notables or of humble origins, everyone is present at the event, even the local authorities, represented here in the person of the chief sergeant of the gendarmerie. Follows a joyful procession, accompanied by a brass band, in which fishermen and their lines take part, followed by carts with the recurrent theme of fishing. Onlookers dressed in their Sunday best, women in groups or some men seated at the terrace of the cafe watch the show.
