[Construction and inauguration of the Coliseo Balear]
The images show different phases of the construction of the Plaza de Toros de Palma –el Coliseo Balear- between 1928 and 1929. Its architect, Gaspar Bennazar Moner (1869-1933), appears in the film.
Finally we see the inaugural bullfight, held on July 21, 1929, with a full house and its first poster was made up of bullfighters Antonio Cañero, Antonio Márquez, Nicanor Villalta, and Felix Rodríguez with bulls from Leopoldo Abente and Pablo Romero.
