Alet-les-Bains

A contemplative stroll through Alet-le-Bains, in the heart of its historical landmarks. As you get closer to the center of the medieval town, Saint-André's church progressively unveils its bell tower. It, then, regularly peaks through the ruins of its mysterious neighbour - of unknown origin - the abbey-cathedral Notre-Dame of Alet. The latter, whose both roman and gothic architecture shows its successive deconstructions and reconstructions, still  bears the marks of the town's history. Passing by the watersources, which give Alet its name as a spa town, is mandatory before leaving it.
