Alger la blanche ; pacification

Amateur Film by a soldier during the Algerian War. A patrol of soldiers of the French Army posted in Algeria distributes sweets to a group of children in exchange for a handshake. Travelling through the countryside by jeep, the French soldiers are followed by a number of children that is growing rapidly and lift some of them on board behind the machine gun. One of the soldiers takes a little girl in his arms and poses with a smile for the camera. The amateur filmmaker affixed to this scene this comment: Pacification. Later, the soldiers stop a young boy on a bike and examine the contents of his basket. Then, we see them proceed to check several vehicles.
