La Fête du vin : Béziers - Montpellier, juillet 1939

Wine Festival: Beziers, Montpellier, July 1939. An Algerian spahi regiment at the head of the cortege awaits the officers that come out of the train station. A selected escort for the presidential car in which Mr Albert Lebrun has occupied a seat. Surrounded by various political and military figures he began afterwards a parade on foot leading to the Beziers station through the Plateau of Poets, the famous English garden. Upon arrival in Montpellier, he is greeted by a large number of men, women and children in traditional costumes who then organized into a huge parade consisting of different sections of pickers accompanied by carts. Finally, each section is installed on the course to perform their traditional dances.
