La Procession des Pénitents
The Procession of the Penitents, as it leaves from the church of Saint Jacques in Perpignan on Maundy Thursday, 22nd April, 1943. As every year since 1461, hooded penitents, sometimes barefoot, walk the streets of the old town in remembrance of the passion of Christ.
