Jour de foire à Perpignan
Local newsreel film on the fair in Perpignan in March 1936 on the Avenue of the Platanes ("plane trees"). It shows the different stalls: sellers of legume, tools, crockery, trinkets, linen, scrap, oysters, ropes and garlic. We can see the 24th Regiment of Senegalese Infantrymen. Numerous onlookers wander the aisles where different demonstrations are taking place, including contests of strength and magic tricks. Lastly, we see the rides, including the famous roller coasters.
