Week-end au Canigou
A tourism film about Mt Canigou. Passing in front of the Abbey of St Michel de Cuixa a jeep drives along small dirt roads, including the forest road near Cortalets Balatg. Skiers descend, they take the Millieres pass between the mountains in order to arrive at the Cortalets shelter, which was built by the French Alpine Club. After snowshoeing, mountain climbers strap on their crampons and gain access to the peak after taking the Durier gap, the fastest and most impressive of routes. At the top one can see a large part of the Pyrénées-Orientales.
