Dans les Albères: Couloumates

From the tops of the Albères we see the French coast, Collioure and beyond. Then we are privy to a glimpse of the lives of shepherds of Couloumates: cows grazing in the mountain, men sharing the workload between each other; they give salt to the cows, put bells around the cows’ necks, and cut the calves ears. The documentary ends with a big picnic. Some are striving to cut wood for the fire, others prepare the cargolade, meat and sausage for grilling. The feast ends with a collective song.
