Le Tarn, ses gorges, ses coutumes.
The Gorges of the Tarn are depicted here in their most picturesque appearance: the boatmen transport tourists on the river through suggestive landscapes, gigantic overhanging cliffs. Farmers do the threshing with flails, ancient practice that– the intertitle points out– had already almost disappeared by that time. In a remote farmhouse in the countryside of Tarn people wait for the priest, who arrives in a cart pulled by a horse for the blessing of animals: dogs, chickens, pigs and sheep are blessed under the watchful eye of the farmers.
